This morning, the university management immediately sought talks with the spokespersons of the protest camp on site.

Over the course of the day, further discussions were held involving the ADE – Anti-Discrimination and Conflict Management Office about the students' concerns and motivations.

During the most recent discussion, the students submitted their demands in writing to the university management. It was agreed that the university management and the protest camp's spokespersons would meet again next week.

There were also calls on social media to join the protest throughout the day. In view of the incalculable risk that the peaceful protest could develop into a situation that poses a serious security threat, the university management decided to break up the protest camp in the Glass Hall.

The University of Bremen sees itself as a place of diversity, dialog, and respectful and non-violent coexistence. The university is committed to dealing with conflicts responsibly. This is precisely why the university management will maintain a dialog with its protesting students.
